Our President the Christian?

After seeing many articles and emails regarding our President Obama and his blatant disregard for the religious rights of Christians in America, I have grown so distraught that I feel I must express this outwardly!

I recently received an email that angered me to the core-maybe you have seen this email which brings to light such an event-

In 1952, President Truman established one day a year as "National Day of Prayer"
In 1988, President Reagan designated the 1st Thursday in May of each year as The National Day of Prayer.
In June 2007, (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA was "no longer a Christian nation".
In 2009, President Obama CANCELED the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the white house under the ruse of "not wanting to offend anyone".

BUT, on September 25, 2009 from 4am-7pm a National Day of Prayer FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION was held on Capitol Hill Beside the White House.
There were 50,000 Muslims in DC that day. HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!

I guess it doesn't matter if "Christians" are offended by this event. We obviously don't count as "anyone" anymore. The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated.

I am appalled! What is the President thinking?! First, I have to tell you that I visited the Facebook page of the President, and in it states he is a Christian. WHAT?!

True Christians can see the irrefutable inaccuracy in that claim. The President of the United States claims to be a Christian, yet bows down to and prays to SATAN?!

1 Corinthians 10:19-22 Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? (20) No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. (21) You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. (22) Are we trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy? Are we stronger than he?

2Co 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?(15) What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? (16) What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?(17) "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."

***Let's have a look at what the God tells us in the ten commandments-
Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me."
Exodus 20:4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven or above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. (5) You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I , the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, (6) but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."
Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder."

Why then, would a Christian join in worship to a false God!? And who is the lord of lies and deception?! Satan!

Who would command the polar opposite of Mercy? Satan! Who would command the murder of Christians who will not turn away from their Savior, Jesus Christ? Satan!

You see, Our God is not the God murder, but of MERCY!

That is why He sent His only son, Jesus Christ who was the blameless and Holy Son of God, who was 100% God and 100% man - to give Himself on the cross as a perfect sacrifice to atone for the sin of those who would trust in Him, in His death, burial and resurrection!

Jesus died for us, and I know that the day is coming when He will return!

WOE TO YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA! If you truly wish to be a Christian as you profess-I pray you will repent! Do not be ashamed of your Savior! Especially not to impress unbelievers! Please know that I am pleading with you, and praying for you!

For the Lord, Jesus (whom you profess to be a follower of) has given this warning:
Matthew 11:32-33 Jesus says " Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.(33) But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in Heaven."

You see, I am a self-proclaimed "Bible Thumper"! My Lord and Savior is not ala carte in my life! He is the cornerstone!!! He is not a Sunday ritual to me- He is my every day redeemer! The Giver of Life, The Creator of All Things, The Almighty , The Sovereign Lord and King of Kings! It is because of Him that I breathe each breath, and will one day place my crowns at the foot of His Mercy Seat.

If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, please - I plead with you all, turn away from your sins, repent and turn to Jesus! So that you too will join me and many others in eternal glory with Him!

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, " I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. (36) But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. (37) All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (38) For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.(39) And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. (40) For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

Trials/Sufferings - What is the purpose of Trials? Why must we endure them-to what end?

Because of the trials I have gone through I began to be very conscience about the happenings in my life. I realized how blessed we are to have a home, healthy children, food, clothing, etc-I started recognizing and acknowledging God's works in my life-not only the things that made me happy, but the trials that we found ourselves going through. Recently I started realizing that things are out of my hands. Not to say that I should just give up, but that I should hand it over to God (which is hard to do when you are raised to be independent and self sufficient). But God instructs us to cast our cares concerns and anxieties on him so that He may receive the Glory and Praise for all things in my life and because he cares for us!

Did you ever get the hickups and someone offered to scare you to stop them?
Well, if you KNOW someone is going to scare you and your ready and recognize what is taking place it's not as scary as it would be if they had snuck up on you.

The point to that illustration is that I have learned that if I am aware and acknowledge that what I am going through is a trial, I will also gain peace in knowing that it will not last forever, and that the trials are used for the Lord's purpose....what purpose??? To what end do we endure these trials?

1 Peter 1:6-9 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. (7) These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (8) Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, (9) for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Also, so that we draw closer to Him and keep our focus on Him! Matthew 6:33 Jesus Himself tells us "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

I know this is a lot to take in, but what you are going through is completely normal. We should not be surprised!

Look at what 1 Peter 4 :12-19 (12) Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. (13)But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.(14) If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (15) If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.(16) However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.(17) For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God;and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (18) And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" (19) So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Also,1 Peter 5:6-11 (6)Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.(7) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (8) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaming lion looking for someone to devour.(9)Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.(10)And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and stead fast.(11)To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
2 Corinthians 1:3-11- (3) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, (4) who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (5)For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.(6)If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation;if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. (7) And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.(8) We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. (9) Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.(10) He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, (11) as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Our world has become so busy. It is very important that we remind ourselves what is really eternally important? What is a matter of life and death to a Christian? It is not the life or death of our flesh, but of our Spirit! In the end, where do we end up, what is more important in our lives than what happens to our eternal souls when life as we know it is over? Not that we should roll over and do nothing because "nothing is more important"...on the contrary, God calls us to use the gifts that He has given us for His purpose. I only make this point because once it really sinks in what God's calling on your life is, and you follow that path that He has laid out before you-you will realize and embrace the trials because you will rejoice knowing that through participating in the sufferings of Christ we also have the great blessing and privilege or being witness to and testifying of His Glory!

Do not speak ill against your pastor if you are offended by the Word of God!

I have started reading the book of Ezekiel today. And as I read of God's warning to Israel and how the Lord came to Ezekiel specifically in Chapter 3 starting in verse 16 - well, let me share with you what the Bible says:

Ezekiel 3:16-21

16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me: 17 " Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked man,'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.
20"Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will be saved yourself."

How many times, when out of obedience to God, and out of love do preachers give to us a message through God's Holy Scripture that people scoff at the message and refuse to believe God's Holy Truth? They believe themselves to be wise, but they are foolish and wicked in their thinking. Their thinking has been perverted by their love of their sin and love of the world and they refuse to accept the Truth. And one basic truth is that: what God says is evil and sin is evil and sin. And what God says is good and pure is good and pure. Do not speak ill of your preacher because you feel convicted by the Holy Spirit to turn from your sin - embrace him instead and thank him for his obedience to God and for sharing the Lord's message with you to save you from death, and inevitably from eternal damnation. Because God uses them to warn us!

For God so loved the world that he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins, that who ever would believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life with Him in heaven! God has placed people in your life who can open your eyes to His truth - He will convict you through His word and His Holy Spirit....God goes out of His way to embrace us all and to lead us on a path of righteousness, an intimate relationship with Him and eternal life. All it takes from us is believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ who died for our sin who was crucified, buried and raised again on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven and is at the right hand of the Father. Ask for forgiveness of your sins, but more, REPENT...turn away from your sin.

So, I ask you to test yourself next time someone tries to witness to you through God's Word - if you are offended...stop and realize THEY are not judging you-God judges you - they are being obedient to God by giving his message - and out of love for you to warn you before it's too late. Will you be wise and listen when God is sending his warning to you? Ignorance and the rejection of God's Word as Truth have eternal consequences. ETERNAL....forever ....and ever....and ever. Do not be ignorant, seek God's wisdom and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. If you don't know how or need more information go to www.bigpreacherman.com.
